 WELCOME TO PATCHAM JUNIOR sCHOOL

A very warm new academic year welcome to you all.

I trust you had a fantastic summer break (if you can remember the ‘fabulous’ weather we enjoyed) and have made the most of the first five weeks of a new school year.

As always, school has burst back into life as soon as the children all arrived and we’ve been busy working hard and learning new and exciting things.

It has been lovely to meet our new Year 3s and the handful of new pupils in other year groups—I am learning new names rapidly and look forward to knowing everyone by name soon!

The autumn term is always a challenging one for the children and adults alike as we all get used to new friends, new surroundings and inevitably the occasional teething problems we all face, however they’ve really impressed us all so far.

Thank you for being so kind to the office team when the phone system wasn’t working last week, they really appreciated the emails and patience when waiting for replies. There always seems to be something that gives us a headache each term!

Later this month we have the Halloween disco to look forward so thank you in advance for your support on the 19th October.

Enjoy the rest of the half term and the unexpected sunshine!

Mr. Sutherland

Admissions for September 2024
Dear prospective families,
If you are considering applying for a place at Patcham Junior School for September 2024 please be aware that the closing date for applications will be in January 2024. This needs to be done, even if your child currently attends Patcham Infant School.
https://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/children-and-learning/apply-school/apply-school-place

If you were unable to attend one of the planned open mornings, it may be possible to visit the school on another occasion, please contact the school office directly to arrange this.

Our website has lots of useful information, but If you would like to speak to myself or to one of the members of my senior leadership team about what learning is like at our school, then please do get in touch via the school office and we will be pleased to get back to you via email or with a phone call.
