PSHE

At Patcham Junior School, our vision for PSHE is to ‘Be Curious, not Judgemental’.

We are aiming for our pupils to build positive, considerate friendships

and respectful relationships. To develop skills to keep themselves and others healthy and safe now, on line and in the future.

The PSHE education curriculum supports personal development, behaviour for learning including promoting attributes such as kindness, respect, consent, resilience and self-efficacy. Our curriculum is ambitious and designed to give all pupils the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to flourish now and to succeed in later life.

Our PSHE education curriculum will be taught in an age-appropriate way depending on the ability and understanding and returned to in more detail as children and young people mature.

At Patcham Junior School we are proud to be meeting the DfE guidance for Relationships, Health and Sex Education (2019) contributing to the Equalities Act (2010) duties for schools, through our PSHE Curriculum.
